Dugong is an animal that is protected under the WWF and other government agencies. Nowadays, dugongs were caught and killed for its fats.. skin.. and meat... Their population in Asia especially in Malaysia are descending caused by the human activities.. Sooner or later.. They will face extinction.. Wallahua'alam..

STATISTIC OF DUGONG'S EXTINCTION
The graph shows that there's a visible decrease in the dugong population. And this is the statistics collected in the Mozambique area only. Lets imagine the decrease that occurs worldwide.....
IT'S BEING HARMED BY HUMANS AND ALSO THE ENVIRONMENT.THE LARGEST REMAINING DUGONG POPULATION IS ESTIMATED TO BE AS LITTLE AS 1,700-12,500 IN THE WORLD.
THE AUSTRALIAN AUTHORITIES HAD DONE GOOD THINGS TO PROTECT THESE POOR LITTLE CREATURES, SO, AS CARING MALAYSIANS, WE SHOULD TAKE INITIATIVES TO SAVE THEM.
